Check or change your screen resolution

Screen resolution is a measure of the width and height in terms of pixels. The most common resolution is 800 x 600, although most new computers are set to 1024 x 768. The higher the pixel resolution the finer the graphics appear. (Lower resolution results in the squared-off pixels being fairly obvious, with attendant anti-aliasing problems.) Higher resolutions also let you fit more information on your screen.
Note: Laptop computer screens are typically more limited in their ability to change resolutions, as they use LCD screens. But all should support 800 x 600.
