Digital Ad Submission Guidelines

In order to provide our advertisers the high quality reproduction they have come to expect, the Portland Press Herald/ Maine Sunday Telegram accepts digital delivery of your ad file based on the following guidelines:

Preferred File Format

The Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram will accept Portable Document Format (PDF) files that have been created with Adobe Acrobat Distiller.

Please see our section on how to create a PDF for publication.

Advertiser’s who cannot supply a PDF can contact us for other options. Use the "Contact Information" on the left.

Delivery of Digital Files

The Portland Press Herald/ Maine Sunday Telegram prefers to receive ad files electronically. There are several options for this:

• The PPH/MST Advertising Customer Service Center.
• Email – Contact your Sales Staff for more information.

The Portland Press Herald/ Maine Sunday Telegram can also receive files from two ad delivery services:

• AP Adsend
• FastChannel Network

In addition to electronic transmission of ad files, the Portland Press Herald/ Maine Sunday Telegram will accept files delivered on CD-ROM, Iomega Zip disks, or floppy disks.

Requirements/ Liabilities

The Portland Press Herald/ Maine Sunday Telegram is not liable for submitted files that do not meet our guidelines.

Disks and files that are submitted to us must be virus free or will be returned unopened.

If you are delivering a disk to us a proof of the ad is required.
